Our partner 100 TONN.KZ showcases its rigging expertise at the GIRN meeting in Bergamo

The annual meeting of the Global Industrial Relocation Network (GIRN) took place in Bergamo, Italy, in mid-October. As part of the conference programme, 100 TONN.KZ presented its rigging and equipment installation capabilities.

The presentation by Alexander Gaab, Managing Director of 100 TONN.KZ, attracted strong interest from the audience

100 TONN.KZ joined the Global Industrial Relocation Network in 2026. Membership in GIRN demonstrates our professional expertise, provides additional assurance of the quality of our services and helps us stay up to date with the latest technological developments. The network helps us find trusted partners worldwide to support equipment relocation projects between Kazakhstan and other distant countries.

At this year’s annual meeting in Bergamo, 100 TONN.KZ delivered a presentation featuring five projects involving complex lifting operations using hydraulic gantries, strand jacks and skidding systems. These included the installation of Schuler presses in Ekibastuz.

The case studies demonstrated innovative gantry configurations and applications, showing how effective engineering solutions can significantly shorten project schedules and reduce costs. The presentation attracted strong interest from the industry specialists attending.

The GIRN meeting brought together leading companies from Germany, Austria, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, Romania, Croatia, India, Mexico and Canada. The programme included one-to-one meetings, which gave members the opportunity to get to know each other better and explore potential partnerships.

Alexander Gaab, Managing Director of 100 TONN.KZ:

The GIRN meeting once again reinforced my view that our company is among the world’s leading specialists in hydraulic gantry technologies, both in terms of fleet size and technical expertise. Our engineers develop solutions I have not seen elsewhere. For example, to upend a long press plate, we used two hydraulic gantries positioned at right angles to each other. Using gantries correctly ensures safe operations and enables us to position and install equipment even where space is severely restricted.

The meeting was also an important opportunity to build relationships with fellow industrial relocation specialists. We are now ready to undertake projects almost anywhere in the world, bringing in partners where necessary in regions where we do not yet have our own operating centres. Face-to-face conversations build trust and give everyone fresh ideas. It was a pleasure to spend three days among dedicated industry professionals.

The meeting in Bergamo helped strengthen ties within the professional community
