Repair of a FICEP HF 2000 Press at an Automotive Components Plant in Kostanay

Our Central Asian partner, 100 TONN.KZ, assisted with the repair of an Italian-made FICEP HF 2000 press at an automotive components manufacturing plant.

Challenge

The main cylinder seals of the FICEP HF 2000 press had to be replaced.

Solution

The press manufacturer engaged specialists from 100 TONN.KZ because the team had previously installed the press and was thoroughly familiar with its design and technical features.

Before the main cylinder seals were replaced, the specialists:

• drained the oil from the system into five 200 L drums;
• disconnected the 12 t press slide from the cylinder;
• moved the slide out on machinery skates along the gantry rails to provide access to the cylinder.

After the client replaced the seals, the team:

• reassembled the press;
• refilled the system with oil;
• carried out final checks to verify the completed work.

The client was also provided with a rental forklift.

Result

The repair was completed on schedule within two weeks, and the press was successfully returned to operation.
